Take a walk along the River Thames, sauntering

Visit the new "wild" attraction - the Wetlands
and Wildfowl Trust Visitor Centre in Barnes.

Explore the acres and acres of gardens at the Royal
Botanic Gardens at Kew, and venture into other parts of the world through
the different sections of the Glasshouses.
Escape the crowds and enjoy some peace and tranquility in the gardens at the
Buddhapadipa Temple,
Situated in a quiet residential street in Wimbledon, the Temple welcomes visitors
of all denominations.
Enjoy boating on the lake in Battersea Park, followed by an ice-cream from
the nearby cafe.or take a boat out on the lake formed by the River Wandle
in Beddington
Park in Sutton.
Whether you're an experienced rider or complete novice, there is a horse for
you - try riding on Wimbledon Common or Richmond Park. You usually need to
book in advance but there are several stables
to choose from .
Get back to nature, visiting one of the small zoos or inner city farms in
the area like Battersea Children's Zoo or Dean
City Farm in Merton.
Improve your swing at one of the many driving ranges or golf
courses in the area.
Wander the Wandle - explore the River Wandle and learn more about it at the
Wandle Industrial Museum
in Merton.
Join a guided walk - ad hoc and time-tabled walks operate in Wimbledon, Richmond,

Enjoy some of the best views in London, by climbing a small hill. The view
from the top of Richmond Hill is even protected by parliament...
Take advantage of the clear skies and go fly a kite, or enjoy a walk in one
of the many open spaces - check out some suggested walking
routes.
Time to sort out those weeds and make your own garden look good - why not
procrastinate first by visiting some of the many nurseries and garden centres
